I posted the last part of the current chapter of my Harry/Draco WIP yesterday night. Go me!
Now all I've got to do is write the last chapter. Yeah. *blinks*

Date: 2007-04-10 07:41 pm (UTC)If it's any consolation, I'm currently struggling with the next chapter of Seven Days in June, and I feel the same way - I think I've re-written every sentence in the current scene at least three times by now...

I'm sorry to hear that Seven Days is giving you a hard time. What seems to be the problem?

Date: 2007-04-10 08:16 pm (UTC)Re: SDiJ, I think it has to do with Harry's character - the scenes with Draco almost write themselves (it's harder to make these two shut up than to make them talk), but whenever I have a scene with Harry alone (like right now), where he needs to think about what's happening and come to terms with his feelings about the situation, writing is like pulling teeth. The boy is just so much better at action than at reflection...

If your Harry is even just a tad bit like mine, his brain will work better when he's moving or doing something with his hands - no, nothing naughty! I'm thinking of yardwork or work around the house. Of course the possibilities are limited in a hotel room, but maybe he needs to iron his clothes. Or do exercises (situps, pushups, yoga - whatever). Something that requires a certain concentration but lets the mind wander anyway.
Or is the difficulty to pinpoint what he might be reflecting about?

He's travelling at the moment, so there isn't that much for him to do - but by now, I've reached the point where I can torture him with local cuisine, which is much more fun to write ;)

Date: 2007-04-10 08:21 pm (UTC)I haven't found the time to look at your fic so far, but I'm looking forward to reading it soon. :-)
Now all I've got to do is write the last chapter.
Yay! Go for it!
